Girl drowns in lagoon
Grevmouth reporter A child drowned in the Blaketown lagoon on Sunday. She was: Heather-Lynn Fiona Gardiner, aged three, of 12 O’Donnell Street, Greymouth. The child apparently had been with other members of her family who were fishing off the Greymouth wharf when she disappeared The Greymouth police were alerted at 4 p.m. and her body was found floating in the lagoon at 5 50 p.m.
