PASS SECTION THE ABOVE HIGHWAY WILL BE RE-OPENED to traffic from Thursday, December 20. 1979, but only between the hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (the Gates of Haast Bridge will be closed to all traffic outside these hours). A weight restriction of 12,500 kg (gross weight) and speed restriction of 20 k/mh has been imposed on the Gates of Haast Bridge. Traffic loading on the bridge is restricted to one vehicle at a time and bus operators are required to off-load passengers before proceeding over the bridge. P. F. REYNOLDS. December 14. 1979.
