Canty wins water polo
In an absorbing first encounter between the two provincial sides, Canterbury beat Queensland. 4-3, in the first of a series of under-16 water polo matches at the Q.E. II Park pool yesterday. The two sides play again at noon today before a New Zealand team is chosen to meet Queensland in a series
■ of internationals starting to- > morrow. Canterbury’s goals were scored by Lachie Marshall ! (2), Brent Ferigo and Brent i Todd. The Queensland goals : went to Andy Enright, Lynton Mortenson and Glenn i Morton. ■ The referees were Messrs nB. M. Mustchin and L. M. i Scott.
