Firemen free boy
A young Dallington boy found yesterday that swinging on garden gates is not all beer and skittles. Firemep who were called to an address in Mcßratneys Road about 12.30 p.m. found both the boy’s knees wedged so tightly between the bars
of the iron gate that they had to use “jaws of life” equipment to free him. “He was well and truly jammed in,” said a Fire Service spokesman. St John ambulancemen were also called to the scene, but they found the boy none the worse for wear.
