From small beginnings
Five years ago Rosalind Barnett opened a tiny shop in a comer of Baseands Warehouse in Kilmore Street Her aim was to provide a service for teachers and schools, selling books and educational aids on a wholesale basis.
From that inauspicious beginning Every Educaid has grown to its present proportions, occupying a large and modem showroom in Victoria Street and selling to a retail as well as wholesale market. The selection of children’s books on display at Every Educaid would be hard to rival anywhere in the country. There are picture books, paperbacks, reference books, books for older children and books for backward readers. Every possible range of taste and ability has been
catered for and the shop’s staff are knowledgeable about every type. In addition to children’s books. Every Educaid stocks a large selection of games, toys and manipulative equipment, specialising in the more educational variety of toys. Hand-made puppets and toys are among the most popular and the shop is ways onglthe look-out for new sources of supply of these “old fashioned” toys. Every Educaid is a haven for Christmas shoppers who want new and unusual gifts for their children. Books have always been a popular choice at Christmas time — the hardest part of shopping at Every Educaid is in making a decision from the thousands of books available.
