A tree for friends
Here is a suggestion for the friendship tree we told you about in October. Decorate it for St Nicholas Day with things that belong to the Draw St Nicholas on his white horse, and do not forget about Black Peter. They would look good at the top of the tree. Look for pictures and post cards of Dutch scenes. Make paper flowers, little cardboard clogs, and windmills. You will be able to think of many more things to put on your tree. It will be a real centre of interest for you and your friends. If you did not get one at the time, it isn’t too late. All you need is a small branch. It will be green now and you will need to stand it in water, but it will look most attractive with all the coloured objects hanging from it.
