Solo mother on burglary charge

He was not available i yesterday. The defendant, represented:: by Mr W. J. Slatter, hash elected trial by jury on the I joint charge that with Eru : : Lucien Hall on September : '22, she broke and entered a ! flat in Wakefield Avenue,:! Sumner. Sergeant G. C. Jones pros-h ecuted. Messrs C. A. Pilgrim h
and R. J. M. Millar. Justices of the Peace, remanded the defendant to December 6 on bail for completion of the hearing. Prosecution . evidence yesterday was that the defendant and a man were seen to approach two adjoining flats and then go to the rear of one of them. A breaking of glass was heard and they were then seen leaving the property. They were followed to a theatre car park and the number of their car was taken. The defendant was later seen in a hotel bar where she was apprehended. She told police that she had been drinking in the hotel with Eru Hall and had not left there during the evening.
