Corso 'proved right'
I Although attacked in the, I past for giving aid to Kam-; Ipuchean refugees in Viet-; nam, Corso had been gradu-| I ally proved right in its stand, said the regional or-1 ganiser of Corso in Christ-; church (Ms Lyn Jackson) yesterday. Corso had been one of the few aid agencies to respond to Vietnam's request for help in resettling Kampuchean refugees and had been attacked for providing “political aid” in doing so, said Ms Jackson. Only in recent weeks had the rest of the world realised the Kampucheans’ need, she said. CorSo continued to supply to Kampuchea medicine, vitamins, and milk powder, lin association with other aid agencies. The aid was being used by the World Council of Churches medical team in; Phnom Penh.
