I PA Auckland ( One of the youngest play|ers ever to receive a Player (of the Year award, Barry 'Griffiths, aged 15, was twice honoured on Monday evening when he was named the New Zealand Table Tennis Player of the Year as well as receiving the Auckland title. In his own sport, the
Auckland Grammar School fifth former is certainly the youngest contestant to be sol honoured. His meteoric rise to be j the New Zealand and Auck-| land No. 1 in the under-18! age group and to be ranked fifth in the Auckland senior list has come only six years since he began “going to (table tennis” with his father, IMr Bernie Griffiths.
