Minister lashes Iran Govt
NZPA-Reuter Teheran The Iranian Government [has accepted the resignation [of the Health Minister (Dr Kazem Sami) after he pub- : lished a scathing attack on alleged disorganisation and factionalisms within the Government.
“Eight months after the victory of the revolution people see that their desires ■and ideals are not realised, [No real change has taken place. . . Exploitation still exists, people ask what is wrong,” Dr Sami wrote. The bitter indictment of the situation within the Government of Dr Mehdi [Bazargan was contained in a [ resignation letter Dr Sami, a [ radical Muslim, wrote to the Prime Minister two weeks ago. ~ Publication of Dr Sami s letters was apparently prompted bv his anger at being mentioned in connection with allegations of high-level corruption in the Commerce Mmistry which' have hit the Cabinet in the last few days. The Government also faces further problems on two more fronts — renewed student unrest and further gains bv the Kurdish rebels on the eve of peace negotiaitions.
