HANDY AT HOME
Blackened saucepans. — To clean badly blackened aluminium saucepans boil grapefruit and lemon skins in the pot with a little water (usually needs at least half an hour, or until the black is gone). After emptying the pot, give a light scour with a soapfilled steelwool pad.
