President of M.V.D.I.
PA Nelson Mr J. Hawke, of Invercargill, was elected national president of the Motor Vehicle Dealers’ Institute at the annual meeting, at Nelson. A former motor-cycle racer, Mr J. Hempieman,’of Auckland, was elected chairman of the institute’s motorcycle division. Those elected to the division committee were Messrs B. Scobie (Hamilton), J. Walls (Ashburton), H. Vandyl (Rotorua), R. Cameron (Dun-, edin). E. -‘Youngman (Christ-: church), and A. Gorst (Auck-, land).
