President escapes attack
— NZPA-AP Kuwait President Sadat of Egypt; narrowly escaped a bomb at-1 tack the day after the first: anniversary’ of the signing of the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty, the Kuwaiti news-1 paper “Al Watan” has said. I “On September 19, a charge exploded near President Sadat’s plane at Ismailia Airport a few mo-! ments before he arrived at the airport,” the newspaper said. Several guards and soldiers were wounded by the blast. A discreet inquiry, headed by President Sadat himself, has been opened to discover who planted the bomb.
