Credit union at port proves popular
The Lyttelton Waterfront, Credit Union has cause to celebrate National Credit Union! Week, October 15 to 19. The credit union, established in 1972, had 964 members at the end of its 1978-79 financial year, 1 September 30. comprising waterfront workers and their families »lt is now the biggest industrial credit union in the South Island. At September 30 the credit union had $391,281 in shares (deposits), and listed $414,000 in loans made to members.
