No Kaiapoi deal yet
PA Dunedin There is no agreement between Mosgiel, Ltd, and the Kaiapoi Borough Council for the sale and purchase of the Kaiapoi Mill, according to Mosgiel’s group financial controller (Mr R. G. Mills) yesterday. Tn the course of discussions held last week be-; tween representatives of The council and the company the price for the property and the payment terms which would be acceptable to the company were put forward as an offer to the council.
The Mayor of Kaiapoi (Mr B. O. Williams) confirmed this last evening. This was a necessary first step, as without an“ offer the council would not do a valuation of the property and its prospects and decide whether it was worth buying, he said.
