Canty challenge
Canterbury is wasting no time to lodge its challenge for the Ranfurly Shield. At a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union’s management committee last evening, it was agreed to officially inform Auckland of Canterbury’s intended challenge next season A complaint from Marlst that in a third-grade match, Sydem ham clayed a rugby league player. Tai Mene, was unheld. A letter received from Sydenham stated that its club’s judicial committee had reprimanded the team and -that it agreed the match be awarded to Marist.
