Man badly burnt
PA Auckland A man was seriously ill in the critical-care ward at Auckland Hospital last evening after suffering extensive burns in a fireworks factory fire at Henderson yesterday afternoon. The man was burned while using a machine in a small prefabricated building in the grounds of Universal Pyrotechnics, Ltd. When firemen arrived at the scene just before 4 p.m. They found that staff members had started to play water from a garden hose over the man’s injuries to minimise the burning.
