Rubbish on the Hill
PA Wellington Ministers were getting rubbished in the Beehive yesterday. They were tripping over it on every floor because of a row over who should pick up. When Federation of Labour leaders arrived on the sixth floor to meet the Minister of Labour (Mr Bolger) and other Ministers to discuss the nation’s
industrial turmoil, they had to skirt round boxes of office waste and empty bottles. It is believed the morning cleaners would not pick up the rubbish because the lifts were not working and evening cleaners would not touch it. The problem should be solved this morning if the lifts are working again.
