Gold $437
NZPA London The price of gold leapt by $24 an ounce yesterday, its biggest one-day increase, while confidence in the dollar crumbled. Dealers said that the metal’s price was fixed at a record $437 an ounce after another hectic session of trading. It closed at $413 an ounce on Monday.
