Corso allocations of $123,775 to July
Wellington reporter Corso has allocated $123,775 for overseas projects so far this year and is considering grants of a further $66,150. It has continuing commitments of $41,654. It allocated $13,000 in February. $34,779 in April, $5OO in May. and $33,842 in July. Full details are printed below, taken from a list supplied after “The Press" approached Corso for a breakdown of its grants made in [the last six months. [ Corso has also produced pamphlets listing its grants made in 1977 and 1978 and ; giving details of its projects. These can be obtained from [Corso’s national office in [Wellington. [ Corso has also spent [511,461 on “educational" [matters within New Zealand [so far this year. i Items include $5OO for [“Overview”, its quarterly [magazine, $ll,OOO for the [controversial film “A Fair Deal”, and $904 for kitsets, books, and pamphlets. j The total coast of $12,404 for these items has been reduced by gifts of $934 which ‘Were made specifically for "education in New Zealand.” The figure of $904 for kitsets, books, and pamphlets includes a donation of $lOO towards a trades council pamphlet, “The Rising Cost
