Indoor bowls
Notrna Pohl won the annual indoor bowl* singles tournament conducted by the Canterbury Umpires' Association for the Ogden Cup at the week end. In the final, she beat the Canterbury Indoor Bowls' Association president. Gerald Adam. 9-8. after an extra end. Adam reached the final b\ beating Ngaire Tomlinson in one semifinal while Mrs Pohl, after trailing early on. narrowly beat Norm Morris on the last end in the second semi-final.
