Allied Press gains 20c
The New Zealand sharemarket opened the week on a firm note in active trading yesterday. Challenge roce 2c to 232 c on a good annual report and Allied Press rose 20c to 220 c, 5c below the price at which, H. W. Smith sold its Allied Press shareholding to a group of Dunedin businessmen. Radio Avon eased 5c to 195 c on a late sale, but its Auckland counterpart, Hauraki Enterprises, firmed 2c to 202 c.
