Argentinian policies
Sir, — M. L. Wade and .1. M. C. Phillipps (September 26) ask; "Would I. R. Blenkinsop approve of sporting contacts with a true blue team of Hitler’s Aryan best?" The answer is, yes. Why should New’ Zealand sportsmen be denied 'he civil liberty of being allowed to play sport against certain overseas sportsmen, whatever “horrifying atrocities" are alleged to occur in their countries. No-one has yet objected to New Zealand rowers competing against Soviet rowers, and it is common knowledge how many horrifying atrocities are committed in their own country and in their interests overseas by the Soviet regime. — Yours, etc., I. R. BLENKINSOP. September 27, 1979.
