Bridge to be closed
The bridge over the Con- | way River on State Highway 11 between Cheviot and Kai- | koura will be closed for i deck strengthening from 7.30 a.m. on Monday until i 6 p.m. on October 12, when the work is expected to be completed. The bridge will be closed on weekdays only, between 7.30 a.m. and 6 p.m., and will be opened at half-hourly intervals during the day to let traffic through.
From the time the work begins, there will be a height restriction on the bridge of 4.5 metres; this will become permanent.
