The successful applicant will work closely with and assist a small team involved in analysing corporate performance and recommending changes, economic forecasting, identifying and evaluating long term investment opportunities, and strategic planning. Tasman is anxious to continually improve its planning methods and systems and will expect the person appointed to make an early contribution in this area. The analyst will initially be responsible for developing and maintaining a computer based planning system. Applicants should be graduates who possess considerable analytical ability and have the capacity to work on their own initiative. While it is expected that applicants should have an economics/business related degree, a scientific background would be useful as would a knowledge of computer modelling.
