Appeal for Greg Mooney
Sir, — I have just read the report of the appeal on the West Coast for Greg Mooney (“The Press,” September 19). New Zealand should take a look. Because of the attitude of the conservationists and the Native Forests Action Council, the pledges of money and help for this young man have come from people whose livelihood in many cases has been put in jeopardy by their demands. To me those who have given money are the real Kiwis to whom I am proud to say I belong. — Yours, etc.,
DOREEN THOMSON. September 21, 1979.
