Miss Bartlett’s views
Sir, — Miss Patricia Bartlett is not a threat to our freedom, as suggested bv Mr Beattie of Penguin Books (“The Press,” August 28). Men like Mr Beattie, who
apparently have no objection to filthy, pornographic literature being displayed in many of our dairies and bookstores where young children can readily see it are the real threat to our nation. The threat to our people is in not having evil removed from our midst, and allowing it to touch the lives of all who come in contact with it. May God bless Miss Bartlett and others like her who stand up to be counted. — Yours, etc. RENEE STANTON (Mrs.) August 28, 1979.
