Sir, — I wonder how much of a coincidence it was that Social Credit made big gains in the recent byelection and also was the only party with a clear antiabortion policy. The last Labour Government had a vague philosophy on the subject, which caused the “Tablet” to advise its readers to vote National. One would think a lesson would
have been learnt, but no, the Labour and National candidates refused to answer two basic questions on the issue and this fact was distributed by pamphlet to the: electorate. Social Credit answered the questions clearly, and got the results. Wake up Labour, before 1981. — Yours, etc., (Mrs) P. M. COOK. August 23, 1979.
