Super, up today
PA Wellington New rates of superannuation will apply from today, but the increase will not be much. The new rate* will be:— Married, gross. $112.74; net. $96.80. Single, gross, $67.65; net, $58.01. The Christchurch district commissioner of the Department of Social Welfare (Mr C. Waters) said that the increases amounted to 13c a week for single persons and 11c each for married couples. Other increases in many social welfare benefits came into effect on July 25.
