Devine questioned
Cecil Devine’s handling of Lord Module over the concluding stages of the National Handicap at Addington Raceway last night was questioned by the stipendiary stewards. The official report said “Lord Module was observed to emerge from the body of the field, run up towards the leader quickly, but failed to gather it in. in doing so he was also observed to be holding Roydon Scott safely in third position, Lord Module finishing second. It was also established from the patrol steward at the top of the straight that Lord Module Had got some distance from the leaders at this point.” After hearing evidence and viewing the film it waa-s decided to take no further action.
• It was also decided to remove Lord Module from the unruly list.
