Labour seminar
The Labour Party Youth Council will hold a public seminar on unemployment in Christchurch on Saturday. Speakers will be Mr M. K. Moore, the member of Parliament for Papanui; the Rev. J. Consedine, a Roman Catholic priest and activist; Mr B. Brown, an executive member of the local branch of the Labourers’ Union, and Ms Paula Stickings, a youth representative on the Labour Party’s policy council. Its purpose will be to form policy for the Labour Party’s next General Election manifesto. It will be held at the Hotel Workers’ Union rooms in Lichfield Street.
