Sequel to brawl
A prolonged brawl between University A and Suburbs players in a fourth round D.C.L, Shield senior rugby match a fortnight ago had its sequel at the Canterbury Rugby Union’s management committee meeting last evening. The chairman (Mr R. W. Thomas) said that union ofllciala met officials from both clubs, who had apologised for the incident and .said that the players had been spoken to. Mr Thomag said he told tha officials that such behaviour did the image of rugby no good and he hoped steps would be taked to ensure it did not recur. A Lyttelton senior B player* A Gearry, was suspended until after September T and two play* era, one each from Albion and Suburbs sixth grade teams, were suspended until after Augwt 2g for foul play. ■ ■ )
