Playground declined
A Wigram Lions Club offer, to finance an “adventure playground” near the new Hornby library was declined last evening by the Hornby District Community Council. The council decided that the noise of children playing •there would disturb people in the. library. The council will suggest that the Lions Club build the
I playground .in the Wigram area, or provide seats outside the new library instead. The council decided to recommend to the reserves committee of the -Paparua County Council that an access way be provided across the Kathleen Crescent Reserve. The hockey field on •the.reserve would be kept.
