No earless patients?
A doctor told the Tauranga Hospital Board that he had advised patients to flout the regulations if they were discharged on their earless days. Dr R. S. Scoular said he had told them that if there were any problems he
would be prepared to take it up with the magistrate. The board agreed that to avoid the cost of keeping patients in hospital for an extra day it would write to the Ministry of Energy asking permission for families to collect relatives on earless days.
