N.Z. man in Thai jail
NZPA/Reuter Bangkok A Thai court sentenced a New Zealander to 18 months jail after he had pleaded guilty to a charge of distributing forged travellers’ cheques. Anthonious Franghetti. aged 25, was arrested last April after the police had found counterfeit travellers’ cheques with a face value of $83,100 in his possession. Franghetti, a food-cate-ring supervisor, is from Dunedin.
