Minister in crash
! PA Wellington The Acting Prime Minister (Mr Taiboys) escaped unscathed from a traffic accident in central Wellington about 2.30 p.m. yesterday. The luxury ministerial ' Ford LTD carrying Mr Talboys to Wellington Airport was in an accident at the corner of Stout Street and Whitmore Street not far ■'from Parliament.
Mr Taiboys, looking slightly shaken, transferred to a replacement car and was taken to the airport. He was heading for a week-end at home in Winton. No-one was hurt in the accident, which Mr Taiboys’ office described as “just a bump.” Mr Taiboys and his driver were the only occupants of the car. ‘ J
