Christchurch Central seat

Sir, — It is interesting to read the expressed concern of Social Crediters and others, from all over the South Island, in the Christchurch Central by-election. They need have no fears, as Geoffrey Palmer will represent us with dedication and distinction. He was one of the many nominees of a very high calibre who came from the North and South Island. We are very fortunate in the Christchurch area, as we have a solid block of Labour-held seats, whose members are working hard to put the case for the South Island. The Labour

leader, Bill Rowling is a fourth generation New Zealander and South Islander, and naturally has a vital concern for our survival. — Yours, etc., MARJORIE McCREANOR. August 8, 1979.
