Integrity called for
PA Auckland New Zealand is bedevilled by groups blackmailing society for self interest, according to the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in New Zealand (The Rt. Rev. Dr A. A. Brash). He told an Auckland Rotary luncheon: “What does it matter if Auckland children have no milk; if the trains, or planes or ferries stop running; who cares if the rubbish rots on the streets, or if our economy goes to the devil so long as I’m O.K. Jack?” Dr Brash emphasised that he was not commenting on the issues. He said the Church should be in the business of creating people who cared about justice for people, the nation, and the world.
“The most fundamental work of the Christian Church is the production of people of integrity, caring, and vision,” Dr Brash said.
