Salisbury tenders
Rhodesia Railways has said it intends to invite international tenders for a big electrification project. Informed sources said it would be the first time since the Salisbury Government rebelled against British rule in 1965 that foreign companies had been publicly invited to participate in a project in Rhodesia. They said it reflected growing optimism that international trade sanctions against Zimbabwe Rhodesia would soon be lifted. — Salisbury.
