SAIL AGAIN APPEALS AT ADDINGTON

If Sail Again comes up with one of his peak runs at Addington Raceway tomorrow he could wind up his seven-year-old racing with a victory in the New Brighton Handicap.

Sail Again, which has been* a pretty consistent performer all along the line, will be going for his third win of the season in the first leg of the New Brighton Trotting Club’s T.A.B. double. Since his last victory, at Methven in March, Sail Again has made several minor contributions to his record and on his most recent campaign, at Auckland in May, he toiled honestly for little reward against more distinguished rivals than he will meet this time. Sail Again is one of three class-six horses on the 20m mark in tomorrow’s field. He

Nugget, Altamura and Cottonfields, which ail have win- , ning form close up on their records, are bound to have , stronger backing and no-one will be surprised if Tribunal, , despite a lack of recent form, is also involved in the finish. . Philippa Frost, which showed high promise in her early three-year-old racing this season and kept a useful record moving later with a string of minor placings,!

could take beating in the second leg, the Farewell Handicap. Philippa Frost will be one of five trying to give a start of 20m and a beating to nine others. On recent form each one of her co-markers would have to be considered among the brighter prospects. Winfield Lord and Best of Fame are both last-start winners and Ota Creek and Harley have winning form close up on their records. Patrons will also have to choose from among several well-performed and talented class-two pacers off the front. Up and Go, a three-year-old, and The Pirate and Flagship, both four-year-olds, are sure to appeal on recent form and among the older horses Paleface Lad and Able Gold might have the strongest fol-
