Duties involve deputising for the Chief Construction Safety Engineer and developing safety standards: investigation of unusual accidents and unsafe practices; training of Safety Inspectors in new construction safety techniques- and practices. Qualifications required are a professional engineering training and Registration under the Engineers Registration Act 1924.
