The principal responsibilities of this position are: * Plan and direct manpower, equipment and raw materials to ensure food uplifts and cabin servicing is available to Qantas and other operators’ aircraft. « Control revenue and expenditure and achieve economic operation of the catering Centre. * Review costs, punctuality and quality performance of all output to ensure maximum efficiency levels and standards are accomplished. * Train and develop staff. QUALIFICATIONS: * Diploma in Hotel and Catering or equivalent qualilcations. * Extensive experience in airline, commercial and industrial catering. * Proven managerial ability and experience in the catering industry. Post No. 2: EXECUTIVE CHEF THE Executive Chef reports to the Flight Catering Centre Manager and is in charge of the flight kitchen. The principal responsibilities of • this position are: * Manage the operations of the flight kitchen to ensure the production of food, which meets company and customers’ requirements. * Prepare new menus for customer review. * Direct staff in all aspects of hygiene and food handling to achieve highest possible standards. * Ensure adequate quality control is exercised over all raw materials and finished products to maintain standards. * Train and develop staff. QUALIFICATIONS: * Diploma in Hotel and Catering or equivalent qualification. =>= Extensive experience in airline food production and presentation, development of menus and associated services. * Sound knowledge and experience in financial control of food production. * Proven supervisory ability and experience.
