Banana rolls
3 slices of bread | cup milk 21b mincemeat | teaspoon grated nutmeg i teaspoon ground cloves 1 teaspoon ground coriander 2 teaspoons salt Soak the bread in the milk and squeeze dry. Add the remaining ingredients and mix with a fork. Form into rolls and place in a greased, casserole, Pour over the following sauce: Sauce: 3 onions, coarsely chopped 2 tablespoons butter 1 tablespoon curry powder (or to taste)
2 tablespoons flour 1 teaspoon salt i cup vinegar 1 cup water 2 tablespoons smooth apricot jam 1 tablespoon sugar 10 bananas, sliced Brown the onions in the butter. Add the curry and fry a little longer. Stir in the remaining ingredients, excepting four bananas. Cut these bananas into quarters and arrange in between meat rolls. Pour the sauce over, cover and stew for approximately two hours, until soft. Serve with rice and a mixed salad. Serves 6-8.
