Groups sought
The Christchurch City: Council is looking for community groups willing to pick up recycled rubbish in trial scheme areas during September. October, and November. The groups would be able to sell items collected during the three-month trial scheme extension. Collections would be on the last Saturday of each month. Householders would be asked to leave all sorted materials — glass, metals, cloth, and newspapers —
rlout for collection at the -'same time. Volunteer groups in Ara--1 nui, Avondale, Mairehau, St • Albans, Hillmorton, and ■ Hoon Hay are sought. Another 14 groups are ; needed to run recycling > depots at week-end suburban • rubbish bin sites during 1 spring. f A council report on the rubbish recycling trial is due > in October.
