QUIET N.Z. MARKET
The New Zealand sharemarket opened the week on a quiet note in mixed trading yesterday. Rises outnumbered falls by more than two to one, but market leaders were more prominent in the losers. Radio Avon firmed 3c to 185 c while Canterbury Timber Products rose 5c ex dividend to 200 c. Ballins and Andrews and Beaven were easier. There was an absence of buyers on the market, because the number of issues traded was almost the equivalent of a morning call.
