I NZPA-Reuter Managua President Anastasio Somoza has banned military officers from leaving the country’. A Government order issued to all airports said I military officers could only iboard international flights if (they had papers signed personally by General Somoza. The order came as Government officials expressed concern at a Voice of America broadcast which said that the Right-wing Government had only three more weeks supply of ammunition. It. quoted military analysts as saying that the Somoza Government lacked sufficient strength to recapture five provincial capitals which have fallen to Sandinist guerrillas. The Government has failed to recapture Masaya, 26km south of Managua, despite a strong offensive launched six days'ago. Military spokesmen Refused to comment on the. reported ammunition shortage, saying: “The availability of ammunition is a military se- : cret.”

Several Government officials have left Nicaragua on what have been described as official missions abroad, but informed sources said they would not be coming back.
