Barmy officer A CHALLENGE FOR THE CHOSEN FEW As the Army has become more sophisticated, more is being demanded of its Officers. This is why we need intelligent young people who have demonstrated academic and practical abilities at university, or in commercial and technical spheres. The Army isn’t an easy option. Far from it. You will have to prove to a Regular Officers Selection Board that you have leadership potential, common sense, an ability to get on with people and that you’re as agile physically as you are mentally. Interested? If you’re between 16’6 and 26 and a permanent New Zealand resident, contact your local Army Recruiting Office for further information.
