Crafts tax still applies
PA Wellington The payment of sales tax by potters and other craftspeople would not be deferred while the tax was investigated by a committee, the Minister of Customs (Mr Templeton) reiterated yester* day. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Highet) announced last week that an interdepartmental committee would look into the effects of the recently imposed 10 per cent sales tax.
