Mobil MOBIL OIL N.Z., LTD, require a FITTER OPERATOR for relief duties on our Lyttelton to Woolston pipe-line. The applicant we are looking for, must be an indentured trades person with sufficient knowledge and background experience to enable them to carry out their respective duties without constant supervision. Ability to use gas and electric welding equipment is essential. Some shift work between the hours of 6 a.m. and midnight, Monday to Friday is involved. The balance of time to be spent on terminal maintenance in both our Woolston and Lyttelton depots. We programme in PLZI using structured techniques on an IBM 370/125 operating under DOS/VS and POWER/VS. A working knowledge of PL/1 is not essential as we would expect the applicants to be sufficiently experienced to be able to quickly adjust to a different operating environment. The Senior Programmer's position is currently vacant and the appointee will be considered for this position.
