Bail again refused

Bail was again refused when an Auckland company director appeared before Mr D. B. Pain, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court today on three passport charges. Peter Fulcher, aged 39, of no fixed abode, was remanded in custody to August 28, for a defended hearing following his not guilty pleas, ■to the three charges. The defendant is charged that on July 5, under the Passports Act, 1946, for the purpose of obtaining a New Zealand passport he knowingly made a false representation by falsely representing that his name was Wayne Shepherd. He is also charged that on or about July 5 he forged a passport application, dated July 5, 1979, and purported to be signed by Wayne Shepherd, with intent that it be acted on as genuine.
